Why Visible Results Create Loyal Clients

In today’s professional treatment room, experience matters. But visible results matter more.

Clients may enjoy a relaxing facial, but what truly builds trust, loyalty, and repeat visits is visible skin improvement. When clients can clearly see and feel changes in their skin, confidence grows. And when confidence grows, long-term relationships follow.

The most successful practices understand this simple truth:
Visible results are the foundation of client loyalty.

Results Speak Louder Than Education

Most clients do not think in terms of cellular energy, photobiomodulation, or ingredient delivery systems. What they immediately notice is when their skin looks brighter, feels firmer, and stays hydrated longer than expected.

That immediate improvement creates belief.
Belief builds trust.
Trust creates loyalty.

When professional facial treatments consistently deliver visible results, clients stop questioning recommendations and start committing to treatment plans.

Why Some Facial Treatments Perform Better Than Others

Not all facial treatments produce the same results, even when high-quality skincare products are used. The difference often lies in how the skin is prepared before products are applied.

When the skin is properly energized, it becomes more responsive. Circulation increases, cellular activity improves, and the skin’s ability to absorb and utilize active ingredients is enhanced. This is where red light therapy and LED light therapy play a critical role.

Energize, Infuse, Maintain

This strategic treatment flow creates consistency and predictability in results.

Energize the skin
Red light therapy and near-infrared LED light therapy increase cellular energy, support healthy circulation, and stimulate natural skin repair processes. When used early in a facial, LED light therapy primes the skin for optimal performance.

Infuse targeted actives
Once energized, the skin is more receptive to hydration, antioxidants, peptides, and corrective ingredients. This allows professional skincare products to penetrate more efficiently and deliver more noticeable results.

Maintain results at home
Home care supports the professional treatment by helping maintain hydration, barrier strength, and skin health between visits. This step extends results and reinforces the value of in-office treatments.

The Power of Immediate, Visible Results

One of the most important moments in a professional facial is the mirror reveal. When clients see improved hydration, reduced redness, brighter tone, or enhanced glow immediately after treatment, the value of the service becomes undeniable.

This moment is where loyalty is created.

Clients who see visible results are more likely to:

  • Rebook future treatments

  • Trust professional treatment plans

  • Purchase retail skincare products

  • Refer friends and family

Visible improvement turns education into belief.

Consistency Builds Client Confidence

When providers follow a repeatable, results-driven protocol that incorporates LED light therapy and targeted skincare, confidence grows on both sides of the treatment bed.

Estheticians feel empowered knowing their treatments perform consistently. Clients feel confident knowing what to expect each visit. This consistency strengthens relationships and supports long-term skin health.

Consistency reduces guesswork.
Confidence builds trust.
Results sustain the practice.

The Takeaway

Clients do not fall in love with devices, steps, or ingredients.
They fall in love with how their skin looks and feels.

When professional facial treatments are designed to energize the skin with red light therapy, infuse targeted actives with intention, and maintain results through home care, visible improvement becomes the standard rather than the exception.

And when clients can see results, loyalty follows naturally.

Why Most Infusions Work Better After Light

In professional skin treatments, when you apply LED light therapy matters just as much as how you use it. While most topical infusion protocols deliver light before applying active ingredients, there are important exceptions and understanding the difference leads to better results, healthier skin, and more consistent outcomes.

At LIGHTWAVE LED Therapy and ABI Skincare, our protocols are designed around how the skin actually responds to LIGHTWAVE LED therapy and Topical Light Infusion (TLI), not trends or shortcuts.

Why Light Comes First in Most Professional Treatments

Red and near-infrared LED light therapy energizes the skin at a cellular level. When applied to clean, product-free skin, LIGHTWAVE LED therapy:

  • Increases circulation and oxygenation
  • Stimulates mitochondrial activity and ATP production
  • Improves cell membrane permeability
  • Prepares the skin to better absorb and utilize topical actives

Once the skin has been energized, it enters a highly receptive state. Applying targeted serums or masks after LED allows ingredients to penetrate more effectively and work more efficiently, often with fewer products and less irritation.

This is why, in most professional protocols, infusion works best after light.

The Science Behind Topical Light Infusion (TLI)

Topical Light Infusion is not about forcing product into the skin, it’s about working with the skin’s biology.

When LED therapy comes first, the skin is primed to:

  • Respond faster
  • Absorb actives more evenly
  • Maintain results longer

This makes TLI or Topical LIght Infusion a powerful bridge between in-treatment results and long-term skin health.

Why Some Protocols End With Red Light Therapy

While light-first protocols are ideal for most concerns, certain conditions benefit from a two-step light approach, particularly acne and highly active peptide treatments.

Blemish Infusion: Blue Light Followed by Red Light

While blue light can be used effectively to assist infusions, especially with higher molecular weight actives, acne-compromised skin requires additional consideration. When acne-causing bacteria are present, blue light interaction creates a high level of singlet oxygen (free radicals). For this reason, acne-focused infusions should always conclude with red light therapy to help neutralize excess free radicals, calm inflammation, and support healthy tissue repair.

Finishing with red light helps to:

  • Neutralize free radicals created by blue light
  • Reduce inflammation and redness
  • Support healing and tissue repair
  • Calm the skin after active acne treatment

Peptide Pro Infusion: Why Red Light Comes Last

The Peptide Pro Infusion contains highly active peptides designed to stimulate visible anti-aging results. Because these actives are biologically active, finishing the treatment with red light therapy:

  • Enhances peptide performance
  • Supports cellular communication
  • Reduces the potential for sensitivity
  • Improves overall treatment outcomes

In this case, red light acts as both a performance enhancer and a recovery tool.

LIGHTWAVE LED Therapy Makes the Difference

Not all LED systems deliver the same results.

LIGHTWAVE panels use between 1,200 and 2,880 professional-grade LEDs across red, near-infrared, and blue wavelengths. This high-density output allows for:

  • More even light distribution
  • Greater photon energy delivery
  • Deeper cellular impact
  • Consistent, professional-level results

This is why LIGHTWAVE LED therapy cannot be compared to at-home devices or low-output systems and why protocol sequencing matters.

The Takeaway: Intention Creates Results

  • Most infusion works best after light because energized skin absorbs and utilizes actives more effectively.
  • Acne protocols should always end with red light to neutralize free radicals and calm inflammation.
  • Highly active peptide infusions benefit from finishing with red light to enhance results and support recovery.

When LED therapy and Topical Light Infusion are applied strategically, estheticians deliver treatments that not only maximize visible results but also showcase their expertise, leaving clients impressed, confident, and coming back for more.

This is the foundation of professional, confidence-building skincare.

Why Energizing the Skin Changes Everything

In professional skin care, results are not just about the products you use. They are about how and when the skin receives them.

Two treatments can use the same exfoliants, serums, and masks, yet deliver very different outcomes. The difference often comes down to what happens before those products ever touch the skin.

When the skin is properly energized at the cellular level, everything that follows performs better.

The Missing Step in Many Treatments

Skin cells rely on energy to function, repair, and communicate. When cellular energy is low, even the highest-quality products struggle to deliver meaningful results.

Red and near-infrared lightwave therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, works by stimulating the mitochondria within skin cells. This increases ATP production, which fuels cellular activity, circulation, and regeneration.

In simple terms, energized skin is awake, responsive, and ready to work.

Without this step, treatments often rely on surface-level results that fade quickly. With it, improvements become more visible, more consistent, and longer lasting.

Why Preparation Matters

Before energizing the skin, proper preparation is essential.

Gentle exfoliation removes surface debris and dead skin cells that can block light penetration. Clean, product-free skin allows photons to reach their target tissue without interference, ensuring the light can do what it is designed to do.

This combination of exfoliation and light exposure creates an optimal environment for cellular communication and repair.

What Happens When Skin Is Energized

Once the skin has been energized with LIGHTWAVE LED light, several key changes occur:

  • Cellular energy production increases
  • Circulation and oxygen delivery improve
  • Cell membranes become more responsive
  • The skin enters a highly receptive state

This is when the real transformation begins.

Energized skin absorbs and utilizes active ingredients more efficiently. Infusion becomes more effective. Results become more noticeable. And the skin’s ability to maintain improvements over time is significantly enhanced.

Turning Energy Into Results

Energizing the skin is not about adding another step. It is about reordering the steps to work with the skin rather than against it.

When lightwave therapy comes first, followed by targeted infusion and supportive maintenance, treatments flow more seamlessly and perform more consistently.

This approach allows providers to achieve better outcomes without increasing treatment time, complexity, or irritation.

Why Clients Notice the Difference

Clients may not understand cellular energy or LIGHTWAVE photobiomodulation, but they recognize results.

They see brighter tone, improved hydration, and healthier-looking skin. They feel firmness, calmness, and vitality. Most importantly, they notice that results last longer than expected.

This builds trust, confidence, and loyalty. It turns education into belief and belief into repeat visits.

The Foundation of High-Performing Treatments

Energizing the skin is not a trend or an add-on. It is the foundation of treatments that deliver real, lasting change.

When skin is energized first, every step that follows works harder and more efficiently.

This is why practices that incorporate LIGHTWAVE photobiomodulation consistently see better outcomes across all treatment types, from corrective facials to indulgent seasonal experiences.

Energize first. Infuse with intention. Maintain results where it matters most.

That is how skin health is built, and why energizing the skin truly changes everything.

Best Blemish and Oil Control Treatment For Topical Light Infusion!

Person with Acne on Cheek

The world of beauty and wellness has experienced major evolution and innovation in recent years. The introduction of revolutionary processes such as Topical Light infusion (TLi) has helped to bridge the gap between our patient’s cosmetic goals and our ability to consistently achieve those goals and desired results. With new skincare protocols on the horizon, now is a fantastic time to become familiar with these trending skincare solutions.

Here at Lightwave Therapy, we believe in not just the power of Topical Light Infusion as a therapeutic process, but also in the power, confidence and strength that this cutting edge skincare routine can offer our clientele.

What IS Topical Light Infusion?

Topical Light Infusion (TLi) is where LED light therapy and skin infusion topicals blend together to provide benefits to our skin. Our goal at Lightwave Therapy  is to combine our award-winning ABI skincare topical products with our Lightwave LED Therapy to provide actionable results that beauty enthusiasts can enjoy. The process is not just safe and simple, it is easy as well!

In this article, we hope to educate prospective clients as to what they can expect from a TLi Blemish and Oil Control treatment.

TLi Blemish and Oil Control Mask

Struggling with congested or oily skin can lead to breakouts, blackheads, and inflammation. When our skincare routine feels like it is failing us, we can get back in control with the ABI Dermaceuticals TLi Blemish and Oil Control Treatment. This multi-step process incorporates Lightwave Therapy in conjunction with popular ABI topicals.

Let’s break down the TLi Blemish and Oil Control Treatment into four simple steps.

  1. Prepare Your Skin— When we utilize the TLi Blemish and Oil Control mask, we advise to first prep the skin. This is a simple task accomplished with the ABI Corrective Wash, formulated to gently cleanse without stripping the skin of natural oils. This will ensure all excess oil, make-up, dirt, and debris has been removed.
  2. Apply Blemish and Oil Mask — Once we have prepared the skin with the ABI Corrective Wash, we can begin applying the Blemish and Oil Mask. Applied through a syringe, the mask can be brushed on or applied with your fingers. A thin layer should begin at your forehead before working its way down, covering your entire targeted area until the mask syringe is empty.
  3. Lightwave Therapy LED— At this point, it is time to place the Lightwave Therapy LED panel directly overtop the targeted face + neck areas. The LED lights will activate the TLi treatment, remaining lit for 20 minutes as the mask embarks upon its process.
  4. Post Care Treatment— After the light has shut off, it is time to cleanse the skin of the remaining mask. Use our ABI Corrective Mist to remove the final traces of the mask. Next, apply a dime size amount of the ABI Treatment Gel to any active blemishes. Allow the product to penetrate.  Apply ABI’s Oil-Free Moisturizer to the entire treatment area to help protect the skin’s natural moisture factor.  Finally, always finish a treatment with ABI’s SHADE SPF 28 Sunscreen.

Key Advantages: Reduce Inflammation, Reduce Excess Oil, Target Skin Blemishes, Detoxify.

We have designed our TLi Blemish and Oil Control Mask to work as both a single-use treatment and as part of a well-rounded routine. Traditionally, we advocate for our clients to begin with just two Blemish and Oil Treatments in their first week before changing to a single mask every two months while symptoms persist.

How to Use Skin Care Products with Your Light Therapy

image of light therapy

Topical Light Infusion (TLi) is one of the only known light-based infusion systems available on the cosmetic market, today. Designed around light-based facial infusion technology, this cosmetic service is similar yet markedly different from traditional LED light therapy.

A Topical Light Infusion treatment plan is built around the application of specific topicals to the skin. Light is then placed overtop these topicals where they are then activated and infused into the lower layers of skin without ablation or injections.

Topical Light Infusions work by:

  • Formulated Topicals Applied to Treatment Area
  • Topicals Infused into Skin by Pulses of Light
  • Light Activation Allows Optimized Delivery of Topicals
  • Active Ingredients Improve Overall Skin Conditions

Light therapy is often used to treat a wide range of potential conditions, from wrinkles to sagging skin and everything in between. Now light therapy can be combined with Topical Light Infusion for a more complete treatment. These treatments are safe, simple, and easy to understand. Most combined treatments last for just 30 minutes, allowing an additional 20 minutes for pre-and-post care.

ABI Dermaceuticals has produced a line of products meant specifically for use through the Topical Light Infusion methodology. Let’s explore these products to learn how to incorporate them into our own light therapy routines.

Optimize Your Light Therapy with ABI Dermaceuticals

Topical Light Infusions offer an exciting and flexible approach to treating many of the most common skin conditions and disorders. Whether we are looking to visibly brighten our skin, or we want to enjoy a collagen-boosting mask, the team at ABI Dermaceuticals has a product to meet your needs.

Let’s take a look at how to incorporate a few of the most popular ABI Dermaceuticals products into your Topical Light Infusion therapy.

  1. Prepare with an Exfoliating Enzyme Wash

Begin every Topical Light Infusion treatment by resetting and exfoliating your skin with ABI’s Exfoliating Enzyme Wash. This product features papaya and pineapple enzymes that break down keratin found within dead skin cells, removing and dissolving lifeless skin while providing nourishment along the way.

  1. Incorporate TLi Wrinkle Repair

Topical Light Infusion allows for the treatment of many different conditions and skin concerns. From plumping your skin with collagen-boosting masks to fighting signs of premature aging through the TLi Wrinkle Repair Treatmentthis step in the process is based on our skincare goal.

Let’s highlight TLi Wrinkle Repair to showcase how this effective infusion treatment works.

  • Rejuvenating Ingredients — vitamin C is one of the driving forces behind this revitalizing serum, though it isn’t alone. C-Mate, Algae Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamin B5 work together to deliver hydrating and soothing benefits where your skin needs it most.
  • Two-Step Treatment — Immediately after applying the Wrinkle Repair Serum to the top layer of skin, the Wrinkle Repair Cream is applied to the treatment area. Then an illuminated, pulsing TLi LED Panel is placed over the topicals for up to 21 minutes.
  1. Apply Hydrating Recovery Gel

Upon finishing the anti-wrinkle treatment, apply the ABI Hydrating Recovery Gel to promote nourishment and hydration to your skin while neutralizing free radicals.

  1. Always Finish a LIGHTWAVE Treatment with Sunscreen

ABI’s Sensible Sunscreen SHADE SPF 28 has a fragrance-free formula designed to provide superior sun protection without causing any congestion or irritating sensitive skin. An ample amount should be applied at the end of any facial or procedure performed.

Skin Hydrating Masks 101: Why YOU Need A Hydrating Mask!

image of person applying face mask

There are few beauty routines more enjoyable than the application of a luscious face mask. Hydrating face mask products have risen in popularity dramatically over the years. As a society, we are becoming increasingly informed regarding what it takes to enjoy visibly healthy, and hydrated skin. Our active sebaceous glands can lead to the production of oil and when our glands get imbalanced in this way, breakouts can occur.

While a moisturizing hydration mask is only one part of an all-encompassing skincare routine, the traditional face mask can work to provide long-lasting benefits that leave us confident, clearer, and happier with how we appear. As an intermittently-used tool, face masks can provide a range of specific benefits including the following:

  • Moisturize and Hydrate Our Skin
  • Refine Overly Large Pores
  • Remove Excess Oil and Dirt
  • Prevent Potential Breakouts

Face masks are meant to be a complement to our regular skincare routine. As they are intermittent tools, we should not get into the habit of using a hydrating skin mask more than once or twice per week. Masking should also come after cleansing and toning to ensure proper absorption while maximizing benefits.

Let’s explore the world of skin hydrating masks a little deeper by underscoring the specific ways face masks work as well as their corresponding benefits.

Understanding Hydrating Masks: Types of Face Masks

Take a walk down the aisle of any beauty store. You’ll quickly find yourself overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options available to you. Face masks are vital products when used correctly as they provide an expansive range of benefits. The big issue with hydrating mask products is that there are so many styles to explore, which is the right one for us?

Here are the most common types of face masks that you will run into as well as their corresponding advantages.

  • Sheet Mask – These are some of the most affordable and accessible face masks in the industry. Sheet masks come in varying formulas depending on the targeted outcome of the end-user. The Honeysuckle Hydrating Mask by ABI Skincare offers a blend of Honeysuckle, Aloe, and Ginseng to provide a moisturizing boost of restoration.
  • Overnight Masks – When compared to cream-based masks, overnight hydrating masks can provide long-lasting relief without a greasy or sticky formula. Overnight masks are meant to work while you sleep, so they are great for travel or for treating yourself during a night in.
  • Gel Mask – A gel mask is ideal for individuals with oily or dehydrated skin. It is also great for individuals with skin sensitivity, because they are gentler on our pores than other heavier hitting products.
  • Creamy Masks – One of our favorite styles of face masks, creamy hydrating face masks are typically brimming with those majorly hydrating ingredients we all know and love. Typical ingredients featured in these potent masks include essential oils, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, extracts, and more. Ideal for anti-aging benefits, creamy masks offer targeted benefits that end-users will notice!

Since our skin is roughly 64% water, it is important that we maintain a proper moisture balance. If we notice that our skin is drying out, it could be due to any number of factors.

Common causes of dehydrated skin include an unhealthy diet, caffeine consumption, climate and weather, and quality of rest.

Experience Skin Rejuvenation With ABI Dermaceuticals

When it comes time to treat our skin the way we deserve, it is important to have quality skincare products that we can trust. ABI Skin Care has dedicated its business to curating a collection of hydrating and healthy skincare products. With a focus on exceptional ingredients and easy-to-implement routines, ABI Dermaceuticals is primed to help you on your journey toward clear and beautiful skin.

How Can Glycolic Acid Benefit Your Skin?

image of woman with clean skin

If you’ve ever looked at the ingredients list on skin care products, you’ve likely noticed an ingredient called glycolic acid. This element is extremely beneficial for the skin, which is why you’ll see it on most lists, especially on anti-aging products. Derived from sugar cane, don’t let the intimidating acid name scare you away from particular products. It is a natural ingredient that is good for your skin and absorbs easily because of its small size.

Perfect for Acne-Prone Skin

If you’re prone to acne, you want a product that contains glycolic acid. Acne is produced due to the oil and trapped dead cells in the pores of your skin and exhibits itself in a variety of ways, from blackheads to larger cysts. When you use a product that includes this ingredient, it gets deep into the pores down to the hair follicles to loosen up sebum and proteins that often get trapped in the pores, reducing acne occurrences.

Anti-Aging Benefits

Perhaps the most common types of skin care products to use glycolic acid are anti-aging products. The same dead skin cells and other issues that cause acne can contribute to dull skin and make you look older. This isn’t as noticeable in children and teenagers because the cell turnover rate is much higher, but as you go through adulthood, the effects are more prominent. Glycolic acid not only smooths the skin as it works, but it also gets rid of the dead skin cells that store discolorations from acne, sun damage, and more. It also stimulates collagen production, which contributes to the elasticity of the skin and keeps it tighter to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles often associated with aging skin.

Improve the Skin’s Absorption Rate

Another primary benefit of using glycolic acid in skin care products is its ability to improve the absorption rate of the other ingredients found in the product. Because this ingredient opens up the pores, larger molecules that make up the other essential ingredients in your skin products will be able to easily enter the skin and do their job as well. This includes antioxidants, retinol and other essential minerals your skin needs. In addition, you will find it easier to apply your makeup and achieve the look you want.

Pay Attention to Amounts

The amount of glycolic acid in a given product is an important factor to consider. In general, skin care products typically use between seven and 30 percent glycolic acid to ensure the maximum effect without overdoing it. Face washes and creams for daily use often contain a lower amount, while face masks and other products designed for more intense use, fall on the higher end of the spectrum for a more concentrated effect. It is also important to look for lower pH numbers in the glycolic acid. A more acidic ingredient will have better results. A perfect example is our Corrective Pads with Glycolic Acid which are designed to resurface and alleviate congested skin. They will also help reduce sebum in oily skin conditions. This unique formula of glycolic acid, combined with willow bark, will gently exfoliate dead skin cells, keeping skin feeling smooth and providing a more even skin tone.

Is It Safe?

If someone offered you an acid product to use on your skin, one of your most vulnerable and sensitive organs, you would likely hesitate. However, glycolic acid is perfectly safe for use, especially when dealing with products marketed for at-home use. However, those who spend a lot of time in the sun should be wary of using these products as they can make your skin more vulnerable to the effects of the sun, particularly immediately following use. Try the Sensible Sunscreen SHADE with SPF 28 which provides superior sun protection without causing congestion or irritating sensitive skin. This gentle, fragrance free formula physically blocks the suns damaging rays and provides instant broad spectrum protection from both UVA and UVB exposure. This fast absorbing, non-greasy lotion is ideal for oily, sensitive, and acne prone skin.

Why You Need Antioxidants in Your Skincare Routine

image of someone using an antioxidant serum

What’s so great about antioxidants? You get younger-looking and healthier-looking skin by applying them topically.  Antioxidants help ward off the damage caused by environmental stressors and pollution. This is the reason why you need antioxidants in your skincare routine. It’s antioxidants that help protect your skin from things like pollution and early aging of the skin.

Anti-Pollution Defense

Even though you don’t see it happening, the skin takes a beating from environmental and pollution stressors every day. This leads to wrinkles, skin sagging and a dull skin tone. Antioxidants have the ability to inhibit this process. There is a lot of research that proves topically applied antioxidants do this. Ubiquinone, superoxide dismutase and glutathione are just a few of the antioxidants that can stop accelerated aging of the skin in its tracks.

Tighten Skin

With age, the substances in the skin become depleted. As a result, there’s less firmness to the skin. A mix of antioxidants can slow this process down. With antioxidants in your skincare routine, the skin regains a firmer feel and look. Antioxidant products that are big in omega-3 fatty acids, such as almond oil and flaxseed, are a great source of omega-9. Omega-centric antioxidants are highly effective at repairing and revitalizing the skin. And, when you add them to an antioxidant retinol, it’s a double whammy.

Brighter Looking Skin

Go from a dull, uneven skin tone to a brighter complexion with antioxidants. Vitamin C is one antioxidant that can brighten the skin. It also comes in many forms like ascorbyl palmitate and tetrahexyldecyl. You should choose a skincare product that has a high-concentration of Vitamin C. Ask your skin care professional about our Featured TLI Duo which is ideal for brightening the skin and has a Vitamin C formula.

Get Soothing Properties

Antioxidants deliver a lot of soothing properties for the skin. Products like chamomile, green tea and beta-glucan have significant calming effects on the skin. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that can produce free radicals, thereby leading to chain reactions that may damage the cells of organisms. Antioxidants such as thiols or ascorbic acid terminate these chain reactions. Our Cranberry Antioxidant Scrub has skin-replenishing ingredients and a great mix of antioxidants for calming the skin.

Fight Against Wrinkles

There’s a lot of research to prove that antioxidants help soften the appearance of wrinkles along with diminishing them. There isn’t any one antioxidant that you need to get to do this. A broad variety of antioxidants help ward off wrinkles.

There are too many reasons to use antioxidants in your skincare routine to ignore. If you want healthy looking and younger-looking skin, check out our antioxidant-rich moisturizer or our intense antioxidant with caviar! Your skin will thank you.

Topical Astaxanthin: Don’t be Without It!

As most people in the skincare industry already know, antioxidants play a key role in maintaining healthy skin. However, some antioxidants have proven to be much more powerful than others. So how do we decipher which antioxidants are the right choice for protecting the skin from premature aging and free radical damage?

Not all antioxidants are created equal. Scientists long ago discovered that a class of naturally occurring pigments known as caroteniods, held powerful antioxidant properties. Recently, one of the caroteniods called Astaxanthin (asta-ZAN-thin) has been deemed the “antioxidant superstar” by many peer-reviewed publications and TV syndicates. This fat-soluble caroteniod is found in many forms including microalgae, salmon, trout, shrimp and wild berries. Scientist have also been able to bioengineer synthetic Astaxanthin but this form has been shown to be significantly less effective than the natural form.

Natural Astaxanthin has an impressive array of physical and anti-aging properties that make it far superior to other well-known antioxidants. Its physical characteristics, such as its small molecular structure, allow it to easily penetrate skin tissue and be utilized by the body. Natural Astaxanthin also has amazing dual antioxidant capabilities. It sacrifices itself in order to rapidly neutralize highly toxic oxidizing agents and protect the body from dangerous free radicals including ROS (reactive oxygen species) and highly reactive forms of oxygen called singlet oxygen. Often times, other antioxidants are unable to counteract the overwhelming damage caused by these specific types of free radical formulations. Astaxanthin studies show that this powerful antioxidant can be up to 1000 times more effective than vitamin C,  500 times more effective than vitamin A and 10 times more effective than beta carotene. It can also work synergistically with antioxidant actions of vitamin C and E.

Other benefits of Astaxanthin include:

  • anti-inflammatory properties.
  • stimulation of collagen production.
  • aiding in inhibiting melanin production.
  • natural sun protection.
  • helps the skin recover quicker from sun damage

As we age, several processes within the body start to slow down, resulting in visible signs of aging. Luckily, ABI Dermaceuticals understands the undeniable importance of protecting skin cells by using natural Astaxanthin. ABI’s Intense Antioxidant has been formulated to slow down the aging process by reducing inflammation and quenching  free-radical damage.

Our paraben-free and fragrance-free formula makes it an ideal choice for all skin types. Skin will feel silky and appear soft and supple. It helps normalize dry, parched skin by producing long lasting moisture in addition to have anti-keratinization and anti-wrinkle free properties.
